A: So are you going to see "The Help"?
B: No. Should I?
A: No.
B: Lol...I'm mad all these white people are facebooking about it. Like they're learning black history.
A: I'm sooooo tired of "white savior" films.
B: I know! I was talking to Prof. Jones about "The Blind Side." He was telling me that these are the films being produced because they're the ones that'll make money. People (white/Jewish) want to produce films where, yeah white people were racist, but not all of them were. Like they're trying to prove something.
A: Right. They want to see themselves do something good. I was reading an article about "The Blind Side." The guy said the film made it seem like he knew nothing about football, and the little boy taught him everything. He had already played football, and just needed a stable home.
B: *SMH* You think that's why Sandra adopted a black boy? Little Louis...he's cute though.
A: Who knows.
B: I do admire her for not going overseas. There are plenty of American babies who need homes.
A: "The Blind Side," "Invictus," "Dangerous Minds," "Radio," "Mississippi Burning"...the list goes on.
B: Well we've had some..."The Great Debaters," "Coach Carter"...
A: I found out "Dangerous Minds" is based on a true story but the woman was actually Latina.
B: One of my favorite movies was "21," but the main guy was actually Asian. A lot of Asians protested the movie because they didn't cast an Asian as the main character.
A: I haven't seen that one.
B: ...about the kid who went to MIT, and was applying to Harvard Med, but didn't have the money. So he found a blackjack team on campus headed by a professor, who took them to Vegas every weekend to win big money! That movie made me learn how to count cards...a useless skill I now have.
B: Oh yeah. I really want to see that.
